Terms & Conditions
Version 2026-10 · Effective 1 October 2026
By creating an account or using BerCareer you agree to the terms below. Please read them through. If anything is unclear, ask us before you start using the service.
1. Operator
BerCareer is operated as a sole proprietorship (usaha perorangan) by Danny Raharja, located at Lebak Arum 2/46-48, Surabaya, Indonesia.
You can reach us by email at support@bercareer.com or by phone/WhatsApp on 0851 2800 6785. In this document "BerCareer" or "we" means that operator.
2. Definitions
- Service: the BerCareer recruitment platform, including the website, CV screening, AI interviews, tests and supporting features.
- Company: a business or party that uses the Service to hire, through a company account.
- Candidate: a person who applies to a vacancy or takes an interview or test through the Service.
- Credit: the unit of balance in a company account that pays for stages of the Service.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate details and keep your password confidential. Everything done through your account is your responsibility.
Tell us promptly if you suspect someone else is using your account. One account is for one person; a company account may have several team members, according to the roles it grants.
4. Services for companies
With a company account you can use the following parts of the Service:
- post vacancies;
- screen applicants’ CVs;
- run AI interviews and tests for candidates;
- unlock candidate identities.
5. Use of AI
AI output in BerCareer, such as scores, summaries and interview questions, is advisory. AI helps you screen and understand candidates; the final decision always rests with the company, never the AI.
Every score comes with an explanation of its reasons, and the risk score is shown separately from the competency score.
The AI may automatically reject a candidate whose score is clearly below the set bar. Such a rejection is always recorded under the "AI System" actor, the candidate stays visible to the HR team, and HR can restore them to any status at any time.
6. Company obligations
As a company you undertake to:
- use candidate data only for recruitment;
- comply with the Personal Data Protection Law and related regulations;
- not discriminate against candidates on grounds of ethnicity, religion, race, gender, age, disability or any other ground prohibited by law;
- not treat AI output as the sole basis for a decision about a person.
7. For candidates
Your data is processed in line with our Privacy Policy. Interview recordings are deleted automatically 30 days after the interview, and nothing is recorded before you consent.
You are not charged to apply or to take interviews and tests. The company bears those costs.
8. Credits and payment
Credits are bought in advance in the Wallet menu. The price of each stage is shown in the app before any credit is used, so you can see the cost first.
Payments are processed by a licensed payment gateway partner. BerCareer does not store your card or account details.
Prices may change from time to time. A change applies only to future use and does not alter transactions that have already happened.
Refunds of money and credits are governed by the Refund Policy.
9. Prohibited use
You may not:
- use the Service for unlawful purposes or to deceive others;
- access another person’s account or data without authorisation;
- disrupt, reverse-engineer or automatically scan our systems without written permission;
- share candidate data with anyone who has no part in the recruitment process;
- cheat in an interview or test, including having someone else complete it.
10. Limitation of liability
We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee it will be free of interruption or error. Because AI output is advisory, hiring decisions and their consequences are the company’s responsibility.
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant Service in the previous three months. This does not remove liability that the law does not permit to be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a number and an effective date; the current version is 2026-10, effective 1 October 2026. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect.
If you keep using the Service after a new version takes effect, you are taken to have accepted it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Indonesia. We prefer to settle disputes by discussion; failing that, they are settled by the competent courts in Indonesia.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@bercareer.com or by phone/WhatsApp on 0851 2800 6785.
